Efforts for historical construction

The new district MCB has been created by bifurcating the Korea district. It came into existence on 9 September 2022 as the 32nd district of Chhattisgarh state. Its boundaries are Kusmi tehsil of Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh in the north, Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh in the south. Pondi of Korba district touches uproda and Ramanujnagar tehsil of Surajpur. Similarly, Korea’s Baikunthpur and Sonhat tehsils in the east, Gourla Pendra Marwahi district in the west and Anuppur and Shahdol districts of Madhya Pradesh form a border.
Newly formed district Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur i.e. M.C.B. District headquarter is situated on Anuppur-Chirmiri rail route and Anuppur Ambikapur rail route. National Highway 43 Katni-Gumla road also passes through here. There are many coal mines around here. About a century ago, the expansion of road and railway lines for coal mining was done in the British rule.
